QSAR models in assessment of chemicals under REACH

Online workshop on QSAR for industry organised and funded by the LIFE CONCERT REACH project.
Date
30 พ.ย. - 01 ธ.ค. 2021
Location
online event

Would you like to find out how non-testing methods (NTMs) can be used to fill data gaps under REACH?

Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the application of QSAR models during the 2-day online workshop "QSAR models in assessment of chemicals under REACH" on 30 November - 1 December 2021!

The main focus of this online workshop is to provide an overview of how results generated with in silico methods (e.g. QSAR and automated read-across) can be used under REACH. The workshop will include presentations about freely available QSAR platforms and a selection of applications of QSAR methods under REACH. Moreover, representatives of chemical industries and member state authorities will give their perspective on cost-benefit analysis of using QSAR and on the use of QSAR under REACH.

Workshop topics:
  • Introduction on QSAR and in silico approaches
  • Presentation of in silico tools: VEGAHUB platform
  • Presentation of in silico tools: Danish QSAR database
  • Presentation of in silico tools: OCHEM
  • CONCERT REACH project: creating a network of in silico platforms
  • QSAR applications under REACH: Octanol/water partition coefficient (log Kow) estimation
  • QSAR applications under REACH: Bioaccumulation prediction
  • QSAR applications under REACH: Use of QSAR within the new OECD Guideline No. 497 (Defined Approaches on Skin Sensitisation)
  • Using in silico tools for identifying potential analogue substances for read-across
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis of in silico tools platform implementation - An Industry perspective
  • Use of QSAR under REACH, a Member State Authority's perspective (German UBA)

LIFE CONCERT REACH

The workshop is part of the dissemination activities of the LIFE CONCERT REACH project,
a four-year EU funded project aimed at improving the usability and acceptance of results
from non-testing methods (such as (Q)SAR models and read-across) for the registration of chemical substances.
