Recent progress in the application of (Q)sars for regulatory purposes in Europe

Echa has published a new guide that will drive forward the use of computational testing methods.

With the latest revisions of ‘Practical guide – How to use and report (Q)sars’, Echa has taken a step forward in the clarification of the requirements for using (quantitative) structure-activity relationship ((Q)sar) methods within European regulation. The mandatory need to evaluate the reliability of results provided by computational testing methods has been a key aspect from the very beginning of the new regulatory frameworks for chemical registration (REACH).
