Workshop Asia & North America 2013
The Update on Chemical Safety Management
While the chemical industry within the European Union is highly occupied with the fast approaching second deadline of REACh (May 2013), the rest of the world also has no time to stand still.
Global regulatory chemical legislations and assessment schemes are under constant review and several updated or emerging legislations have already been introduced particularly in, but not limited to, the Asia-Pacific region. These all entail changes, new duties and data requirements for the chemical industry.
Coping with such regulatory requirements will be a challenge and carries with it a potential, but realistic, risk of delaying or disrupting market access. Our workshop will inform industry about the latest regulatory updates and developments across the globe such as:
- New Chemical Substance Notification (China NCSN) and Decree 591 on the safe management of dangerous chemicals in China
- Reform of the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) in the USA
- New Substance Notification in Canada
- Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals in Korea (Korea REACH)
- Latest amendments to the Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL) in Japan
- Chemical management systems in Thailand and Malaysia
- Latest developments in Russia: safety management of chemicals and implementation of GHS
It will also cover hot topics within REACh i.e. ECHAs “Compliance Check” and the European Commissions “REACh Review”.
This workshop is targeted at decision makers and regulatory affairs managers in the chemical industry.
