Thailand Update: Declaration of hazardous substances

Declaration of hazardous substances under authorization of Department of Industrial Works (WoAo./ AoKo. 7) B.E. 2563 (2020)
Effective from 3 March 2021

Recently, the Ministry of Industry (MOI) published the MOI Notification RE: Declaration of hazardous substances under authorization of Department of Industrial Works (No. 2) B.E. 2563 (2020).

Under the current revision a producer, importer, exporter or holder of 206 hazardous substances (previously 53 hazardous substances) is required to declare hazardous substances to the competent official using the WoAo./AoKo.7 form. Anyone handling more than 100 kg of these 206 hazardous substances in business between January - June or July - December each year, is obliged to declare them online at Thailand’s Department of Industrial Work (DIW) or at the Hazardous Substances Management Division.
