Thailand - Banning of Paraquat Dichloride and Chlorpyrifos?

In April this year, Thai DoA discussed on banning of 2 pesticides Chlorpyrifos and Paraquat dichloride. The existing licenses of these 2 pesticides cannot apply for the renewal and new submissions will be rejected. From 2019, none of these 2 pesticides can be used in Thailand. On 31 August 2017, DoA will publish the survey of public comments on banning of Paraquat dichloride and Chlorpyrifos. The survey is now available for comments from all stakeholders. Comments can be submitted to the authority via e-mail: ardpesti@doa.in.th or in person (no due date mentioned in the announcement).
