Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH Regulation) is an EU Chemicals Ordinance which entered into force on 1 June 2007. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, i.e. for the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals. As an EU regulation, REACH is equally and directly applicable to all Member States. REACH will harmonize and simplify existing chemicals legislation.
