India’s Registration Committee (RC) proposes new rules for “Make in India” pesticide molecules

Registration Committee (RC) proposes new registration guidelines to reduce imports and give more opportunities to indigenous manufacturing. Under the new rules, no registration certificate will be granted for technical import/ formulation import, if that molecule/ formulation is registered under an indigenous manufacturing category (technical/ formulation indigenous manufacture). In cases where the registrant has a registration certificate of indigenous manufacturing and import category, the certificate of registration of import category will be withdrawn. In addition, there will be some changes to the requirements, manufacturing rules, and import rules.
